Why we Started Thrive

Two parents (Sharad and Shilpa) grew concerned as kids, including their own, became glued to screens. A friend’s daughter’s struggle with depression highlighted technology’s impact on emotional health.

Teracube started in 2018 making long-lasting smartphones. In 2022 Sharad and Shilpa, both parents, launched Thrive, a safe phone for kids and teens, and today Teracube focuses entirely on kids' safety. Owners of earlier Teracube phones continue to get parts and repairs.

With experience at Microsoft and Amazon and active PTSA involvement, they combined their expertise and love for kids to create Teracube Thrive—a smartphone designed by parents, for families, to foster connections and balance in the digital age.
